Hannah is easily one of the most welcoming and attentive people you’ll meet. I’m a regular here, and every time I walk in, she greets me by name like I just stepped into a family member’s house. It’s that kind of energy that starts the day off right. You can’t miss the smell of the slow-drip coffee brewing — strong, fresh, and exactly how coffee should be. Now, Norma the cook deserves serious credit. A restaurant’s only as good as the kitchen, and she’s the reason I keep coming back. Her brisket tacos are on another level made with real tortillas right in front of you, and the eggs? Pretty sure they’re farm eggs —I saw the brown shells (don’t quote me, but I trust my instincts). Except Sundays that’s biscuits and gravy day for me. Oh, and Jared’s cool too. He holds it down lol. Solid people, great food, and good energy every time. Can’t ask for more.

What a gem we stumbled across during our Mother's Day wknd in Barboursville! A spotless and inviting space with great vibes, perfect coffee/latte options (even non dairy milk, including oat milk) and incredible food. Lots of indoor outdoor seating, extremely friendly service and just beautiful touches everywhere. As a gluten free/dairy free diner, I LOVED the healthy and flavorful chicken soup and the almond flour pastry option. We had 3 small kids in tow, so the water bottle/cup fill station was a great convenience. Next time we hope to get there early enough for breakfast -- that was the only bummer for us, showing up at 11 AM. Thank you so much for opening up this wonderful cafe that we'll look forward to visiting each time we head to the foothills!

Great food and atmosphere. All the ingredients were really fresh. You can tell they definitely put love and care in everything they make!

First time here and stopped for lunch. The soul warming chicken soup had tender shreds of chicken breast, kale, carrots, and parsnips in a luscious turmeric infused broth. The beef vegetable soup was scrumptious with tender beef, carrots, onions, zucchini, parsnips, and corn in a qell seasoned broth. They both were accompanied by pillowy, warm slices of focaccia bread drizzled with olive oil and a sprinkling of sea salt. We will definitely be back!

We were visiting the area for the Steeplechase and happened upon this place during our stay. The food is A-MAZING. Unique, but familiar enough that even the pickiest of eaters would be willing to try something. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 13 year olds and we each tried something different. We enjoyed it so much, we came back for dinner the following night. The ham biscuit, the exchange burger, the BLT, and the salmon skewer sandwich were a few we tried. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. If you stop in, enjoy the stories these folks share and do NOT miss the desserts. They are phenomenal!

Had a great dinner at Exchange Cafe! I had the Exchange Burger on focaccia—super flavorful—and the Ponchos San Juan beef skewers with patatas bravas were excellent. They made a special mac and cheese for the kids, which they loved. I also took the Soul Healing Soup to go—can’t wait to try it. The Fireman’s Chicken was perfectly tender and juicy, served with rice and focaccia. Finished the meal with a classic Old Fashioned. The staff was so nice and friendly—really made the experience even better. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

What a sweet boutique place we happened on while driving through the area. The ingredients were fresh and seasoned so well. And the dishes spectacular! More than accommodating staff which helped me customize a meal for a camp outing. Do not forget to complete your order with a yummy coffee/espresso and a homemade dessert. Out of this world Will be grabbing dinner and dessert to take home in a few days.

Oh my gosh, I think I just had the best burger in my life! The presentation was amazing, as you know, you always eat with your eyes first! I believe they specialize in catering, and it shows! They are (rightfully) very proud of every dish they make! I can't wait to go back and really splurge!
